Personal Branding in the Age of AI: Making Your Work Visible

Project managers deliver results every day, yet much of that work stays invisible. Promotions, new roles and the chance to lead bigger projects often go to the people whose value is understood. In a world where AI can write a polished profile in seconds, what makes you stand out is how clearly people remember what you do and how you do it.

This interactive session treats your personal brand like a project: define the scope, know your stakeholders, deliver consistently and communicate progress. Drawing on more than 25 years in marketing and communications, Ajit shows how project professionals can build a credible, authentic reputation without feeling self-promotional. Through live polls, real examples and a short hands-on exercise, participants will shape a one-line value statement, review how their LinkedIn presence reads to a recruiter or sponsor, and learn where AI genuinely helps and where it can hurt. The session closes with a simple 30-day plan you can start the next morning.

Key Takeaways

  • Why visibility is a career skill for project managers, and how it differs from self-promotion
  • A simple framework to define your value statement: what you deliver, for whom, and how
  • Practical ways to use LinkedIn and everyday project communication to build reputation
  • How to use AI tools responsibly in your personal brand, and the risks to avoid
  • A 30-day personal branding action plan
