Presentation

AI is Making Decisions – Are You?

AI is already influencing priorities, timelines, risk assessments, and stakeholder expectations, often without explicit discussion or governance. For project leaders, the real risk is not AI itself, but unexamined decisions being quietly delegated to it.

In this engaging 45‑minute session, Corey Gill challenges project managers to rethink leadership in an AI‑influenced environment. Drawing on real‑world examples, research, and his concept of Intentional AI, Corey explores how everyday tools, from scheduling software to generative AI, are shaping decisions long before a project issue reaches the steering committee.

Rather than focusing on technology, this session centers on judgment, accountability, and leadership intent. Participants will learn how to recognize where AI is already impacting project outcomes, how to ask better questions of tools and teams, and how to retain human decision‑making where it matters most. This session is designed for project professionals who want practical insight, not technical depth, and who recognize that effective leadership now requires clarity about who decides what, and why.

Key Takeaways:
  • How AI is already influencing project decisions, often invisibly
  • What decisions project leaders should never fully delegate
  • How to apply intentional thinking to AI‑supported tools and workflows
  • Practical questions project managers can use to improve governance and accountability
